Welcome everyone to the 64th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only have Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.
In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, found the blood/snow camo Tac-13 to be utter fudd crap.
At this time the original auction has ended after a whopping 28 bids were placed with a final sale price of $755. Congratulations to GunBroker buyer H!ppych1x on the purchase of your Remington Tac-13. Proof that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a custom gold plated Beretta 92FS. As is tradition, this flashy gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $905 with No Reserve.
HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP?
Golden or Gaudy Custom Beretta?
Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:
“I may actually bid on this to flex on all the Latin King members in my area.” – Matt E.
“Perfect for your budget action flick-style druglord Halloween costume. Terrible otherwise.” – Will P.
“”it looks like a treasure from a pirate chest on the bottom of the sea. Put it back there, please” – Giorgio O.”
“It’s so shiny it should come with some very dark sunglasses. For everyone.” – Eric B.
Selling this incredibly flashy gat is GunBroker seller Johngrey, located in Miami FL. Let’s see what they had to say about this custom Beretta.
Beretta 92FS excellent condition, custom 24-carat gold plated parts, and slide. Mirrored polish alloy frame coming with one magazine 10-15 rounds depends on the state law. Magazine with gold plated bottom. New custom grip with the Beretta logo. Coming in Beretta’s original box. Any questions please contact us. Credit card fee 3%. CA is OK.
HGFC has featured its fair share of gold guns over the years, but still, this Beretta 92FS is something else. Thinking of guns like the Beretta M9 might remind you of the United States military, or maybe the character John McClane in Die Hard. Looking at this 92FS, and I feel like I’m in an alternate reality where Saddam Hussein is somehow still alive, and selling cocaine.
Having this gun resting on the American flag in each photo makes it look like a department trophy after a drug seizure. I can see how this gun is patriotic, but this is a little over the top.
With all that said, there’s no denying this gun will sell. As it’s a no reserve auction and has plenty of bids, someone will be taking delivery of this gold-plated Berretta by the end of the month. Still, the question remains, and as always I leave it up to you the reader to decide.
What do you think? Is this Gold Beretta 92FS a Hot Gat or some try hard posh Fudd Crap? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and cast your vote to let us know if this Custom 24-carat gold plated Beretta 92FS is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
